Euna Vay (Smith) Guinn

Decatur ~ Euna Vay Guinn, 97, a retired bookkeeper, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June17, 2014 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with 2:00 p.m. graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan.  Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate. Pallbearers include Nate Gage, Luke Gage, Darren Guinn, Garret Guinn, Travis Taylor and Zane Lasater.  Honorary Pallbearers include Scotty Guinn, Will Gage, Shannon Hesteande and Trey Taylor.

Euna was born on November 7, 1916 to Morris  and Bertie (Dunaway) Smith in Lipan, Texas.  She retired from bookkeeping after over 25 years of service. Euna loved quilting, and was a member of the Decatur Quilting Club. She was an avid gardener.  Euna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur.

Euna was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Betty Guinn;  her husband of forty years, Dozier Guinn; her sister, Oleta Adcox; her brother, Ledford Smith.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Jerrell Guinn and wife Gay of Graham and Danny Guinn of  Denton; her daughter, Treva Underhill and husband Don of Boyd; her sister, Nola Jean Hubbard of Mineral Wells; her grandchildren, Scotty Guinn, Dawne Burgin, Shanda Taylor, Will Gage, Shannon Hesteande, Stephanie Guinn and Rhonda Floyd; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and a host of friends.
