Eunice N. Hutson

Bridgeport ~ Eunice N. Hutson, 97, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, November 1, 2020 in Decatur.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.

Eunice was born on January 9, 1923 to Thomas and Nellie (Driscoll) McCain in Grapevine, Texas. She was a housewife who cherished her family and enjoyed every minute she could with them. Eunice was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Some of her most important things in life were her family, her friends, her love of travel and to see new places and the games she played with her children and grandchildren. In the words of her family, Eunice has probably seen every corner of this country and everything in between. She loved to travel. As Grandpa would say “Always keeping her on her toes.” She experienced so many things in life from wars to depressions, growing up picking cotton, visiting and gambling in Las Vegas. Eunice will remain her family’s inspiration every day. The world won’t be the same with her no longer in it.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Hutson, and her son, Norman Hutson.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Randall Hutson and her daughter, Vetreesa Rutherford; her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous extended family members, and a host of friends.
