Eunice L. (Murphy) Pewitt

Paradise ~ Eunice Lee (Murphy) Pewitt, 75, went to be with our Lord Thursday, September 12, 2019.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Cottondale Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Rev. David Dunson will officiate, assisted by Brenda Marlett. Pallbearers will be Kerry Marlett, Mike Pewitt, Ryan Murphy, Trent Murphy, Chris Pewitt, Joshua Pewitt. Honorary pallbearers will be, Larry Marlett, Joe Murphy and Jerry Pewitt.

Eunice was born on May 23, 1944 to W.W. and Estelle (Bridges) Murphy in Cottondale. She was united in marriage on May 28, 1977, to Olan “Sonny” Pewitt Jr. at Lake Bridgeport. Eunice was a member of Paradise United Methodist Church, Paradise Historical Society and South Wise Food Bank.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Olan “Sonny” Pewitt Jr.; her sister, Billy Marlett.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Sonny Pewitt and wife Martha of Azle; her daughter, Sheila Kay Roberts and Roger Skipper of Springtown; her grandchildren, Chris, Joshua and Ashley Pewitt, Aaron, Payton, and Mikaylee Roberts, Andrew Gonzalez, Tyler and Steven Fenner and Lee Ann Faith; her great-grandchildren, Talent Tucker, and Delilah Gonzalez; her brother, Joe Murphy and wife Suzie of Paradise; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
