Decatur: Eva Jo Jackson, 78, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord, Thursday, June 2, 2011 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home with Gary Dietz officiating. Interment: Greenwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home
Pallbearers include Gary Don Gage, Terry Harris, Robert Bost, Jim Kiker, Larry Dill, and Charles Dill.
Eva Jo was born January 21, 1933 in Greenwood, Texas to Robert Elvin and Bessie (Urquhart) Moore. She married Billy Ray Jackson on May 31, 1952 in Forestburg, Texas. Eva Jo was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Decatur.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 59 years, Bill Jackson of Decatur; daughter, Janice Lynn Bird and husband, Randy of Longview; son, Elvin Ray Jackson of Runaway Bay; four grandchildren, Brionne and Jeremy Jackson, Scarlet and Amber Bird; great granddaughter, Brelynn Jackson; two sisters, Nadine Gage and Jenny Gordon; and brother, Homer Moore.
Eva Jo is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister.
