Eva Jane (Wright) Taylor

Decatur ~ Eva Jane Taylor, 82, went to be with our Lord Monday, July 5, 2021.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021 Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Eva was born February 10, 1939 to Henry and Bethie Lee (Hardin) Wright in Denton, Texas. She was united in marriage January 19, 1957 to Melvin Lee Taylor, Sr. in Denton, Texas. Eva was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bethie Wright; her husband Melvin Lee Taylor, Sr.; and her brother, Ronnie Wright.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are, her daughter, Elizabeth Taylor and companion Matt of Decatur; her son, Melvin Taylor and wife Becky of Decatur; 2 grandchildren, Kaitlyn Taylor and Ashley Gonzales and husband Eddie; 3 great-grandchildren, Gavin Delgado, Ryan Delgado, and Olivia Gonzales; 2 sisters, Linda Ellison of Denton, and Beverly Spicer of Kentucky; her brother, David Wright of Denton; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
