NEWARK -- Eva Lee Taylor, 81, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 in Decatur.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at House of Prayer in Newark. Burial: Aurora Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Rev. Lewis Coomer will officiate, assisted by James Nunely. Pallbearers will be Michael Clark, Charlotte Davis, Ricky Rhoudes, Sam Coomer, Matthew Coomer, Jacob Rose, and Cathy Franklin.
Eva Lee was born on September 15, 1926 in Maypearl, Texas, the daughter of Henry Lee and Lida (Sims) Bruce. She married Jessie M. Taylor on October 29, 1943 in Cisco, Texas.
Eva Lee was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; a son, Phillip; a grandson, Danny Rhodes; a great granddaughter, J.J. McNaab; and a daughter-in-law, Rene Taylor.
Left behind to cherish her memories are: sons, Gary Taylor and wife, Bonnell of Saginaw, Paul Taylor of Newark, and Ricky Taylor and wife Patricia of Rhome; daughters, Dolly Taylor of Newark and Sheila Eckhoff and husband David of Brighton, Colorado; 25 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brother, Billy Don Bruce of Oklahoma City; sister, Carolyn Lane of Childress.
