Evelena Mckeever

CHICO -- Evelena McKeever, 90, a devoted housewife, went to be with our Lord Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 in Decatur, Texas.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel, Bridgeport with burial following in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Chico. The Reverend Glenn Randall officiating.

Pallbearers include Tony, Rick, Johnny and Jeff McKeever, Carl Johnson, Randall Buckner, Kenny Pryor and Rodney Cayce.

Born October 24, 1919 to Ben and Myrtle Edge Boner in Decatur, Evelena married Elmer William McKeever August 14, 1937 in Decatur. He preceded her in death along with her grandson; Dennis McKeever and 3 brothers; Hubert, John and Weed Boner. Evelena was a member of the Living Word Assembly of God Church in Alvord.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her 3 sons, Raymond McKeever and his wife, Reba, of Paradise, Lee Roy McKeever and his wife, Jean, of Chico, Jerry McKeever and his wife, Mary, of Chico; eight grandchildren, Connie Johnson and husband Carl, Tony McKeever and wife Mary, Delinda Buckner and her husband Randall, Rick McKeever and his wife Krista, Tammy Pryor and her husband Kenny, Pam Cayce and her husband Rodney, Johnny McKeever and his wife Pam, Jeff McKeever and his wife Cherie; 19 great- grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; her brother, O.W. "Bus" Boner of Decatur; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
