Richardson: Evelyn Irene Corrigan, 97, formerly of Decatur, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, March 30, 2013 in Dallas.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bryan Bosworth officiating. Interment: Oaklawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Carey Ward, Brian Bennett, and Evan Ward.
Evelyn was born November 20, 1915 in Oxford, Louisiana to Jefferson Davis and Margaret Irene (Arnold) Garrett. She was united in marriage to W. Raymond Corrigan on November 25, 1937 in Shreveport. Evelyn loved gardening and handwork and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Margaret Bennett and husband Wade of Richardson, Texas; two grandsons, Carey Ward and wife Beth of Atlanta, Georgia and Brian Bennett of Lewisville; three great-grandchildren, Evan Ward and wife Merideth of Atlanta and Amy Macintosh of Lewisville; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister.
