Evelyn Gayle Patterson

Bridgeport~ Evelyn “Gayle” Patterson, 79, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 in Weatherford.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Gayle was born on March 23, 1942 to C.A. and Rebecca Ruth (Wood) Blevins in Stratford, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Jack B. Patterson on August 28, 1961 and spent 55 wonderful years together until his passing in 2016. Gayle was a homemaker who enjoyed taking pride in her home and raising her family and especially cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were her greatest treasures. Family was everything to her and she was always their biggest supporter. She will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; her sister, Clara Grissom; and her brother, Bobby Blevins.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Karen Patterson Wier and husband Frank of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Eric Woodard and wife Carrli of Paradise, Heath Woodard and wife Lexi of Colgate, Oklahoma, Candice Tolliver and husband, Danny of Springtown, and Tyler Wier and wife Erika of Decatur; her great-grandchildren, Brittyn Woodard and Briggs Woodard; her brothers and sisters, Weldon Blevins and wife Eddie of George West, Kay Knowlton of San Angelo, Steve Blevins and wife Cecilia of Panama City, Florida, Diann Payne of Roswell, New Mexico, and sister-in-law, Donna Blevins of Artesia, New Mexico; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
