CHICO -- Everett Cox, 75, a real estate broker and rancher, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 13, 2008 in Decatur.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Chico. Burial: Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Billy Joe Womack will officiate. Pallbearers: James Davilla, Raleigh Cox, Joseph South, Cody South, Brendan Cox, Will MacDonald, Wade MacDonald, Amon Cox, Ezra Cox, Avery Cox, and Beck Cox. Honorary Pallbearers: Gene Grooms and Larry Gardner,
Everett Cox was born on August 28, 1932 in Chico, the son of Ernest Cleveland and Lennie Cox. He was a lifetime resident of Chico. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Pharine Walker. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Left behind to cherish his memory is: his companion, Betty Tune of Chico; daughters, Julia Cox Wilson and husband Kenneth of Chico, Rebecca Cox of Lewisville; sons, Eddie Cox and wife Carmen of Chico, Ernie Cox and wife Kristi of Chico, John Cox and wife Sandy of Nashville; 17 grandchildren; sister, Betty Robinson of Chico; brother, Elmer Cox of Chico.
