Faye (Hale) Wilson

Mineral Wells ~ Viola Faye (Hale) Wilson, 77, went to be with our Lord Monday, February 18, 2019, in Justin.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2019, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel Decatur with burial in Sweetwater Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Brandon Mercer will officiate. Pallbearers include Jonathan Shockey, Matthew Shockey, Chris Hall, Cole Hall, James Coufal, and Toby Price.

Faye was born on January 13, 1942, to Benjamin and Mattie (Fennell) Hale in Decatur, Texas. She was united in marriage to Jimmy W. Wilson on June 29, 1973, in Decatur. Faye was a retired LVN. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Benjamin Franklin Hale III.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years, Jimmy Wilson of Mineral Wells; her daughter, Pennye Shockey and husband Ronnie of Aurora; her son, Russell Dunlap and wife Lisa of Jacksboro; her brothers, Johnny Hale of Bowie, Danny Hale and wife Kristi of Archer City; her sister, Shirley Donley and husband David of Bowie; her grandchildren, Jonathan Shockey and wife Emily, Matthew Shockey and wife Cassie, Chais Dunlap, Savanna Dunlap, Kalista Dunlap; her great grandchildren, Paxton Shockey, Maddison Shockey, Asher Dunlap, Brady Dunlap, Brinlee Dunlap; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
