Filiberto Rodriguez

Decatur ~ Filiberto Rodriguez, 88, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, September 22, 2021.

Graveside Service is 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Saturday before the graveside at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Filiberto was born March 20, 1933 to Cristobal Rodriguez and Maria Del Jesus in Los Alamos, Coahuila, Mexico. He was united in marriage February 5, 1956 to Esperanza Fuentes in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico. They were married for 62 years before her passing in 2018. Filiberto was a retired farmer, after many years in the agriculture industry. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cristobal and Maria Rodriguez; his wife, Esperanza Rodriguez; his son, Javier Rodriguez; his daughter, Maria Del Soccoro; one brother and two sisters.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Guadalupe Rodriguez of Decatur, Gilberto Rodriguez of Decatur, Victor Rodriguez of San Antonio, Jorge Luis Rodriguez of Mexico, Sergio Rodriguez of Decatur, Cristobal Rodriguez of Decatur, and Hector Rodriguez of Decatur; his daughters, Virginia Rodriguez of Mexico, Gillerimina Rodriguez of Aurora, Esperanza Rodriguez of Decatur, Maria De Jesus Fernandez of Decatur, Margarita Valenzuela of Decatur, Maria Del Refugio of Mexico, Guadalupe Rodriguez of Decatur, and Maria Isabel of Decatur; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
