Florence Josephine "Dollie" Crites

Rhome ~ Florence Josephine “Dollie” Crites, 93, went to be with our Lord Monday, September 26, 2022 in Decatur.

Graveside is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Rev. Jimmy Withers will officiate.

Florence was born on May 28, 1929 to J.O. and Florence (Kilcrease) Currie in Midland. She was united in marriage to Billy Joe Crites on September 13, 2015 in Aurora. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother of 3 generations, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her 1st husband, John Claude Locklar; her grandchild, Richard “Chris” Hencke; 2 brothers, Jason and Robert Currie; and 2 sisters, Jean Smith and Ann Rogers.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Billy Joe Crites of Aurora; her daughter, Suzanne Hencke and Larry of Rhome; 2 grandchildren, Shannon Bradley and husband Brian, and Aaron Hencke and wife Traci; 8 great-grandchildren, Kinlee, Rylee, Addyson, Tripp, Tate, Lynsey, Nathan, and Megan; 1 great-great-grandchild, Ganden; 2 sisters, Janice Moore and Georgie Currie; other relatives and a host of friends.
