Decatur: Florene Cunnius Green, 90, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, June 22, 2008, in Bridgeport, Texas.
Funeral service is 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 24th at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Dr. Raymond Johns and Brother Bud Looper officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 23rd at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Brent Elder, Tim Morris, Greg Christian, Caro Sappington, Cody Christian, Justin Morris, Ryan Elder, and Clayton Sappington.
Florene was born June 19, 1918 in Greenwood, Texas to James Tarleton and Mary Anna (Dement) Cunnius. She married Sam Green on July 17, 1937 and was married 67 years at his his death on January 10, 2005. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Barbara Rhine and husband, Glen Rhine of Decatur, Van Elder and husband, Dan of Village of Loch Lloyd, Missouri; grandchildren, Keitha Morris and husband, Tim of Decatur; Brent Elder and wife, Lindsay of Lees Summit, Missouri, Jamye Christian and husband, Greg of Decatur, Dana Sappington and husband, Card of Joplin, Missouri; great grandchildren, Cody Christian, Kayla Kelley, Carley Jones of Decatur, Justin Morris of McKinney, Ryan and Andrea Elder of Lees Summit, Missouri, Lauren and Clayton Sappington of Joplin, Missouri, great great grandchildren, Riley and Reese Christian, Macey Jones, Body and Jadyn Kelley; brother, George Cunnius of Decatur and twin sister, Lorene Green of Bridgeport.
Florene is preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister, Willie Mae Foster.
