PONDER -- Floyd B. Taylor, 84, of Ponder, a retired owner of Taylor Chevrolet of Dallas, went to be with our Lord Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, in Denton.
Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Burial: East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate. Pallbearers: Edwin Haney, Vic Morton, Loyd Jackson, Stephen Wren, Jarold Mosley, Jerry Mara, Jerry Bethurum, and Billy Joe Snider.
Floyd Taylor was born in Wise County to Ed and Agnes (Holiday) Taylor. He married Dorothy (Easley) Taylor on Aug. 3, 1943, in Boyd. Mr. Taylor was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur, a Mason and a Shriner.
Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife of 65 years, Dorothy; son, Dan Taylor of Stony; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
