Floyd R. Wagner

July 14, 1952 — February 8, 2024

Boyd

Floyd Russel Wagner went to be with our Lord February 8th, 2024.

Floyd was born on July 14, 1952 to Floyd and Dolores (Stepanek) Wagner in Cleveland, Ohio.  He married Suzie Burkmier, the love of his life, on August 29, 1981 in Houston, Texas.  Floyd was a self-employed roofer for 18 years and a Facilities Maintenance Manager for Tarrant Regional Water District for 15 years until he retired in 2021.  He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

Floyd loved to fish his whole life.  When he was young and living in Cleveland, Ohio he would take the bus with his fishing poles and fished the shores of Lake Erie.  Later in life he found a fishing buddy in his wife Suzie and they spent much time and many vacations fishing from Rockport, TX to Lake Michigan in South Haven, Michigan.  Floyd and Suzie enjoyed mud pits drag racing with friends in their early married years.  Floyd would be in the cab of the truck and Suzie was part of his pit crew.  Floyd loved to play horseshoes and when he would partner up with his Mother-in-Law no one could beat them and they brought home many trophies.  Floyd loved to hunt and one of his favorite pastimes was being a part of a hunting lease shared by good friends which Is known as “Hog Heaven”.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Wagner and Dolores Barbis, his sister Lisa Kamenar, and brother, Michael Wagner

Those left behind to cherish his memories is his wife of over 42 years, Suzie Wagner of Boyd, his children Floyd R. Wagner Jr. (Brandy) and Kari-Anne Starks (Jason); his grandchildren Kaitlyn Cornish (Donald), Rosalia Wagner (Rody Ferreyra), Ivy Starks, and Waverly Starks; great-grandchildren, Skylar Cornish, Abby Cornish, Levi Cornish and Reyna Ferreyra; his brothers Robert Kamenar and Richard Kamenar; his sister Debbie Medina (John); many extended family members and a host of friends.
