SPRINGTOWN -- Foy Caruthers, 79, of Springtown, owner of Texas Manufacturing & Fabrication, went to be with our Lord Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, in Fort Worth.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 at First Baptist Church, Springtown. Officiating: Dr. Hal Kinkeade. Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Wise County. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Lambert Geerlings, James Davenport, Ed Millsap, Don Springfield, D.M. Cox, Boyd Phillips.
Foy Caruthers was born June 11, 1928 in San Antonio to Foy Sr. and Francis Morris Caruthers. He married Ernestine Swain July 7, 1950 in Fort Worth. Mr. Caruthers was a member of the First Baptist Church of Springtown and served in the National Guard.
Left behind to cherish his memory is: His wife of 57 years, Ernestine; sons, Brian Caruthers and wife, Carolann of Granbury and Craig Caruthers and wife, Sharon of Keller; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, John Caruthers of Waco; sister, Bettye Bewley of Kilgore; numerous extended family; and a host of friends.
