Francis was born February 17, 1916 in Alvord, Texas, to James Edward and Lou Hettie Smith Grissom. She married Arvil Edgar Sisk on August 29, 1936 in Alvord. She is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, 3 brothers, Bonnie, Willie Haynes and Clifton Grissom and sister, Dorothy Nivens.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 13th at the First Baptist Church of Alvord with Rev. Bill Cleveland to officiate. Family will receive friends, from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Steve Hankins, Kenny Boner, Scott Kelsey, Michael Foster, Davis L. Sisk, Jerimy Sisk, Landon Hankins and Charlie Tibbels.
Francis was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alvord for over 50 years. She loved her family, her church, and quilting. She was known for her chicken and dressing that she loved to make for her family.
Left behind to cherish her memory are 3 sons, Milton Sisk and wife Judy of Decatur, Arvil Sisk and wife, Nellie of Alvord, David Sisk and wife Kathy of Denton; 2 daughters, Wilma Hunt and husband, Vance of Arlington, Lois Boner and husband, Hubert of Bowie; 9 grandchildren, Susan Hunt of Dallas, Tori Sisk of Keller, Misti Tibbels and husband, Charlie of Decatur, Kristi Hankins, and husband, Steve of Decatur, Kenny Boner and wife, Lana of Decatur, Michael Foster of Alvord, David Sisk of Carrollton and Jerimy Sisk and wife, Nicole of Crossroads, Texas; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family request memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Alvord, Texas.
