Newark: Francis Thomasine Winkle, 82, a housewife, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in North Richland Hills.
Graveside service is 11 a.m. Friday, December 31 at Dido Cemetery. The Reverend Benson Kennedy will officiate.
Francis was born February 18, 1928 to Jack and Lois (Height) Johnston in Pelican, Louisiana. She married Hubert Allen Winkle on July 12, 1948 in Gladewater, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, Hubert; and son, Wesley Winkle.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Perry Winkle and wife Deane Ann of Colleyville, Van Winkle of Newark, Roger Winkle and wife Libby of Thomasville, Georgia and Bobby Smith and wife Sheila of Longview; her daughter, T.K. Winkle of Fort Worth; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; her sisters, Beth Hagen and Faye Carter; her brothers, Glenn Johnston and Bo Johnston; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
