Park Springs -- Frank Aaron Griffin, 77, a retired machine operator for TXI, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007 in Bridgeport. Memorial: 1 p.m. Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Mr. Griffin was born Nov. 20, 1929 in Portales, NM to Charles Byrd and Lillie Pence Griffin. He was raised in the small town of Frazier, NM. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He and his family lived in Germany, Kentucky, New Mexico and moved to Texas in 1976. Frank taught horsemanship and gave lessons to the Boyd Scouts of America at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch for 20 years. He distributed Bibles for the Gideons for 3 years and was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Park Springs. Frank was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 8 sisters and his parents. Survivors: Daughters, Elaine Rodgers and husband, Gary of Cedar Hill and Joann Ballew and husband, Tom of Plano; son, Roger Griffin; grandchildren, Tammy, Melanie, Stacy, Shane, Kevin, Mandy, Candy and Nicky; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Boyd Griffin; numerous nieces, newphews and a host of friends including The Loving Family of Jean Kelly and close friend Mary Gamage and son, Thomas. Frank will be missed by all who knew him. He will be laid to rest in the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
