Frank Russell Mckay

Burleson ~ Frank Russell McKay, 86, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Graveside Service is 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2020 at the Geron Family Cemetery in Decatur. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Rev. Ed Geron will officiate.

Frank was born September 9, 1934 to Alvin C. and Agnes Dorilda (Mailloux) McKay in Lynn, Massachusetts. He graduated North Quincy High School, attended college and retired after many years from TxDot in Ft.Worth as a warehouse manager. Frank was united in marriage October 8, 1965 to Bettye Geron in Ft.Worth, Texas at the Rolling Hills Baptist Church. He proudly served our country in the Massachusetts National Guard and the United States Air Force. Frank was in the Korean War and received a National Defense Service Medal. He attended Bible Baptist Seminary in Arlington, Texas and was a licensed minister.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Agnes McKay; and his wife of 51 years, Bettye Geron.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his god granddaughter, Ivana Leal, and her parents, Johnny and Ana Leal; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
