Freddy Earl Hunt

Freddy Earl Hunt, 66, of Decatur, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, March 12th, 2025.

Graveside Service is 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 17th, 2025 at Sweetwater Cemetery in Decatur. Family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. at the cemetery.

CJ Frazier will officiate.

Freddy was born May 24th, 1958 to Wesley Edward and Edith Marie (Grimes) Hunt in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage May 24th, 1991 to Monica Pratt in Bridgeport, Texas. Freddy was retired from Devon Energy after many years as a production foreman, prior to his career with Devon Energy, he served the citizens of Decatur as police officer from 1978 to 1980. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Edith Hunt; his sister, Ellen Hudson; and brother, Jimmy Hunt.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Monica Hunt of Decatur; his son, Colby Hunt and wife Brooke of Stephenville; 2 grandchildren, Haddi and Cayson Hunt; his brothers, Kenneth Hunt of Decatur, and Stephen Hunt and wife Karen of Decatur; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
