Gary Lynn Osborne entered this world July 28, 1948 and began his new journey, May 10, 2023 looking out at the lake he loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents D.E. (Hoot) Osborne and wife Bettie, and Loura Mayhew and husband Henry; maternal and paternal grandparents; brothers, Sammy and Larry Osborne; sister, Sharron Crabtree; son-in-law, Tim Morrow; as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa; daughters, Shelena Morrow, Angela McNally and husband Chris; son, Nathan Osborne and wife Chrissie; grandchildren, Lee, Brandon, Amanda and partner Marshall, Edward, Ethan, Terry, Christian and wife Amber, Tyler and Lorelei; brothers, Jimmy and wife Sandy, Kenny, Don, and Keith Mahue and wife Toya; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces as well as constant companions, Sammy, Taffy, TC, and Torra.
Gary was blessed to have grandsons near to help when something needed to be replaced and ever so patient listening to his directions with all the missed steps because he wanted to be involved. Grandchildren, even though distance kept him from seeing them as often as he would have like were never far from his thoughts.
These last few weeks were made easier because Amber was here every day to talk to Gary and help any way she could.
During this last two years we were both blessed to have neighbors that saw things that needed to be done and without saying anything did; as well as listen to me ramble when I just needed to talk.
I am also grateful for Tyanna and all those from Solaris who helped Gary through pain and uncertainties with guidance and laughter. Their uplifting spirits and support helped him take the next step we will all face one day.
At Gary’s request, no services will be held, but if you wish to do something in his memory, please donate to your nearest Disabled Veterans Group or local food bank.
