Rhome ~ Gary W. Traylor, 59, a retired truck driver, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in Rhome.
Moments of memories is 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd. Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday.
Gary was born on November 10, 1957 to Frank William and Mildred Louise (Prunty) Traylor in Houston, Texas. He was united in marriage to Sonya Heard on October 14, 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Marines.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Tommy Traylor and Ronnie Linville; and his sister, Diane Bradbury.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Sonya Traylor of Rhome; his sisters, Julia Belt and husband Coy of Newark, Judy McGahey of Boyd, and Rita Smith of Newark; his brothers, Sammy Traylor of Boyd and Frank Traylor of Fort Worth; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
