Gene E. Ashmore

Boyd ~ Gene E. Ashmore, 68, a retired insurance adjuster, went to be with our Lord Monday, July 1, 2019, in Decatur.

Gene was born June 15,1951 in Elkton, Tennessee to James D. and Margie Mae (Harden) Ashmore. He was united in marriage to Shelly “Rene” Saulter on April 3, 1987 in Boyd, Texas. Gene was a member of First Baptist Church of Boyd.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Louie Ashmore.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Rene Ashmore of Boyd; his son, Zachary Ashmore of Boyd; his daughter, Brandy Pierce of Boyd; his grandchildren, Jasmine, Garion and Jansen Ashmore, Braylyn Starrett, Carson and Rayann Johnnene; his sisters, Margaret Miller, Cheryl Swearingen, Jody Russell, and Doris Ables; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
