Decatur ~ Gene Douglas Burger, 76, went to be with our Lord Saturday, June 15, 2019 in Decatur.

Gene was born on May 25, 1943, to Ernest Albert and Edna Elizabeth (Gottschalk) Burger in Plymouth, Michigan. He retired from the construction industry as a brick mason. Gene proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves. He was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his brother, Jim Burger and wife Emma of Alvord; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
