FORT WORTH -- Geneva Ruth Martin Church, 75, beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008 at home surrounded by her family.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: Thomas Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Rick Cooper will officiate. Pallbearers: Davy Duncan, Donnie Church, B.W. Church, Cody Church, Canton Church, Matthew Dunaway, and Kyle Church.
Geneva was born on March 7, 1933 to Virgil and Pearl (McDaniel) Martin in Bridgeport. She married Donald D. Church on February 4, 1950 in Henrietta. Geneva was a wonderful cook and homemaker. Her favorite activities included reading her Bible, listening to music, puzzles, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. She loved watching Christian Television Networks and supported them with her faithful contributions.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Virgil and Pearl Martin, and her adored husband of 29 years, Don Church.
Left behind to cherish her memory is: sons, Don Church, Jr. and wife Lisa of Grand Prairie, Bruce Church of Fort Worth, and Mike Church and wife Tammy of Aledo; daughters, Sharon Duncan and husband David of Fort Worth and Lisa Dunaway and husband Robert of Keller; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, R.V. and Billy Jack Martin; sisters, Marie Cobb, Bobbie Read, Shirley McNeil, and Reba McKeever; and a host of other relatives and friends.
