Geneva Owen Green

Geneva Owen Green, 84, of North Richland Hills went to be with her Lord on August 23, 2007. Funeral service is 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 25, 2007, at Coker-Hawkins Chapel with Rev. Moore to officiate and interment in Alvord Cemetery. Geneva Owen Green born July 28, 1923 in Alvord, Texas to Ted and Effie (Yale) Owen. She went home to be with her Lord on August 23, 2007. Genevas Life was one of giving, caring, and concern for others. She was a lifetime member of Jonestown Baptist Church. On April 16, 1943 Geneva married G. W. Green and enjoyed 58 wonderful years of marriage until his death on January 29, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her sister Merl Long. Geneva was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, school teacher and friend. School teaching was her passion. She held a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Education. She received numerous awards including Outstanding Elementary Teachers Of America, The New Mexico Governors Award For Outstanding Excellance in Education and Community Service and Certificate of Merit From Phor San Juan Alamo School District. Geneva will be missed by many. She is survived by her daughter Jeanne Green of Bedford, Texas and many very precious neices and nephews, and friends.
