Alvord: Geneva Elnora Sims, 94, of Alvord, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, April 3, 2010 in Bridgeport, Texas.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 7th at Alvord Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Morrow officiating. Family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Geneva was born October 30, 1915 in Copperas Cove, Texas to James Harold and Leila Mildred Adams Bell. Geneva worked as cashier for Tarrant County Junior College in Fort Worth. Her hobbies were quilting, fishing, gardening, canning,cards and travel.
Left behind to cherish her memory are daughters, Leta Morrow and husband, Buster of Leesburg, Texas, Wanda Gray of Fort Worth, and Winnie McEleroy and husband, Bill, Sr. of Alvord; son, Walter Prewitt of Pensacola, Florida; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 16 great great grandchildren.
Geneva is preceded in death by her daughter, Wynona Rice, parents, husband, three brothers, and one sister.
