Decatur: George Lee Cunnius, 99, a rancher, farmer, dairyman, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, November 15, 2009 in Decatur.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 19th at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Decatur with burial following service in Oaklawn Cemetery. The Reverend Raymond Johns officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Ryan Cunnius, Ed Cunnius, John Schnase, Mike Rawle, Brandon Kelton, and Brent Kelton. Honorary pallbearers include Gary Willis, B.J. Yerby, Jeremy Rawle, David Maxey, Calvin Buchanan, Casey Fain, Tom Woodward, Jacob Hartsell, W.M. Lewis, and Bob Stallard.

Born February 22, 1910 to James T. and Mary Dement Cunnius in Stony, Texas. George married Maxine Cunnius May 22, 1933 in Marietta, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death after 74 years of marriage. He is also preceded in death by two sisters Willie Mae Foster and Florene Green. George was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church (formerly Fundamental Baptist Church) in Decatur.

Left behind to cherish his memory are daughter, Beth Rawle and her husband, Russell of Decatur; two sons, Tommy Cunnius and his wife, Kathy, Jimmy Cunnius and his wife, Lynn both of Decatur; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Lorene Green of Bridgeport; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
