Memorial service will be held on September 2, 2011 in Springfield, Ohio. Interment will be in Boyd Cemetery at a later date.
George was born on September 2, 1952 to George Nicholas II and Norma (Wilson) McGrath in Springfield, Ohio, where he was also raised. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Julana Earlene Lyons McGrath; his parents, George Nicholas II and Shirley E. (Merriman) McGrath; his mother, Norma (Wilson) Creachbaum; and his brothers, Kenneth Neil McGrath and Stephen K. Creachbaum.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his brothers, Michael E. McGrath and wife Janice of Arizona, Timothy E. McGrath, Charles Wilson, David Creachbaum, and Roger Creachbaum, all of Ohio; his sisters, Kathleen K. McGrath, M. Erin (McGrath) Shook and husband Rick, Nancy E. (McGrath) Daly and husband Terry, Maureen E. (McGrath) White, all of Ohio, Theresa E. (McGrath) Scardino and husband Joe of Texas, Sherry McGrew, Judy Doughman, and Susan Henry, all of Ohio; his step-son, Shane Higgins of Texas; his aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Charles Kirk of Ohio; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends.
