Alvord: Gerald "Jerry" Edwin Miller, 55, of Alvord, went to be with our Lord on Friday, June 6, 2008 in Fort Worth.
Memorial service is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Alvord with Brother Bill Cleveland to officiate.
Jerry was born September 3, 1952 to Chester and Wanda June (Kuykendall) Miller in McAllen, Texas. He married Penny (McClure) Miller on September 3, 1984. Jerry was employed by Ryder Scott Management as an oilfield pumper. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alvord and served in the United States Air Force and the United States Navy during the Vietnam conflict.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 24 years, Penny Miller; daughters, Jessica Oliver and husband, John of Temple, Jade Cayce and husband, Pate of Bedford; son, Seth Miller of Abilene; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Oliver; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and his loyal and trusty friends, Shadow and Moe.
Jerry is preceded in death by his mother.
