Gerald Joseph Nicholas

Memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 23rd at the Decatur Church of Christ with Rick Ross officiating.

Jerry was born on February 18, 2008 in Marshall, Missouri to Don Nicholas and Norma LaVange. He was the owner of Mattie's restaurant in Decatur from 1996 to 2006. He loved to cook and was known for the pies he made and sold at the restaurant. He was a graduate of Corando High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, and was the scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 15 in Decatur. He also camped and played golf. He was a memeber of the planning and zoning board in Decatur and the Decatur Church of Christ. He married Anna McFadden on the steps of the Wise County courthouse in May, 1997.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, daughter, Chantell "Peanut" lee Hutchison and husband, Derrick, of Mesa, Arizona; stepsons, Colin and Eric Gabbert; granddaughters, Nyan and Niesa Hutchison and Briana Daoud; grandson, Noah Hutchison;and sister-in-law, Nancy Nicholas.
