Gerald Rue Stuteville

Boyd – Gerald Rue Stuteville, 59, went to be with our Lord January 21, 2023.

Memorial service will be Saturday 1 PM at the First United Methodist Church with a reception to follow hosted by the family..

Gerald was born September 23, 1963 to Rue Onamo Stuteville and Barbara Jean ( Rudiger) in Norfolk, Virginia. He was united in marriage to Cindy McCallister on June 26, 2015 in Boyd, Texas. He graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelors of Science in Electronics Engineering. He was employed with Tandy/Radio Shack. Gerald was member of the First United Methodist Church in Boyd. He was very involved in Scouting and was a Co- founder of the Scouts BSA Troop 145 in Boyd. Gerald earned his own Eagle Scout award in 1981 and was a second generation eagle scout. Gerald was a beloved husband, father, scoutmaster, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his mother Barbara Stuteville.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Cindy Stuteville of Boyd; one son, Thomas Stuteville of Cedar Hill; one daughter Jesica Wilber of Beckly West Virginia; father Rue Stuteville of Norfolk Virginia and companion Pam Chalkley; his scout family Troup 145 including Charlie Martin of Rhome and Wendy McGill of Boyd a host of family and friends.
