Gerald Ralph Upchurch

Funeral service is 10 a.m. Thursday, January 9th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Boshman Upchurch and Donny Foster officiating. Interment: Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Ed Atkinson, David Upchurch, Jake Upchurch, Randy Upchurch, Jeffrey Pirtle, Daniel Gullion, Cameron Sanderson and Chad Best.

Gerald was born January 6, 1943 in Lewisville, Texas to Ralph and Mary Lois (Brown) Upchurch. He was united in marriage to Alveda Ramsey on September 21, 1963 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Alveda Upchurch of Rhome; two sons, Mike Upchurch and wife, Brenda of Haslet and Hank Glenn Upchurch and wife, Rhonda of Boyd; mother, Mary Lois Upchurch; four grandchildren, Michael Upchurch and wife, Faith of Aurora, Boshman Upchurch of Haslet, Brittany Placek and husband, Justin of Decatur, Keisha Foster and husband, Kyler of Aurora; four great-grandchildren; five sisters, Elaine Helsley, Frieda Wilt, Liz Whale, Sharon Sanderson, and Justine Stogsdill; two brothers, Charles and Paul Upchurch; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Gerald was preceded in death by his father.

I am so sorry for you and your family in the loss of Gerald. We will keep your family in our prayers. Linda mad I will be unable to attend Gerald's service because Linda has had knee replacement surgery and she cannot travel. May God be with you in this time of sorry.
