Gertrude Lee (Randall) Mcpeek

Decatur ~ Gertrude Randall McPeek, 97, went to be with our Lord Saturday, December 12, 2020 in Denton.

Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Slidell Baptist Church with burial at Slidell Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Todd Stephens will officiate. Pallbearers include Bill Davis, David Schertz, Terry England, John North, Tim Fletcher, and Bert Pruett.

Gertrude was born August 4, 1923 to Albert Grover and Jimmie (Moss) Randall in Mount Pleasant, Titus County, Texas. She was united in marriage December 13, 1948 to Virgil Ray McPeek in Weatherford, Texas. They moved to Slidell, Texas in April of 1957 where they were members of Slidell Baptist Church. She was an active member of the church until her death.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Steven Ray McPeek and wife Coet, of Clinton, Mississippi, and Michael Albert McPeek and wife Sara, of Decatur; her daughter, Teresa Ann McPeek of Lake Jackson; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
