Gilbert Herriage

Runaway Bay ~ Gilbert Herriage, 78, of Boyd went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in Runaway Bay.

Visitation is at 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. Service will be at First Baptist Church of Boyd with burial at Boyd Cemetery.

Rev. Mark Autry will officiate. Pallbearers include Ricky Herriage, Danny Jacobs, Gary Herriage, Mikeul Fite, Derrick Jacobs, Dustin Dickinson, Richard Goodwin and Walter Ransom.

Gilbert was born on July 25, 1942 to Milam and Faye (Watterson) Herriage in Corsicana, Texas. He was united in marriage to Janice (Merritt) Herriage on April 26, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. Gilbert was a retired Salesman for various companies and truck driver for Challenger Freight Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Gillis Herriage; and his sister, Altha Lee Mayfield.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 ½ years, Janice Herriage of Runaway Bay; his daughter, Lori Dickinson of Azle; his sons, Donald Herriage and wife, Rhonda of Boyd, Jason Herriage and wife Christina of Euless; 9 grandchildren, Starla Dawson and husband Jeffery, Dustin Dickinson and wife Debra, Stephanie Lambert and husband Robert, Clay Herriage and wife Holly, Whitney Mefford and husband Jaron, Danielle Dreyer, Skyler Herriage and wife Brittani, Dylan Herriage, Cameron Herriage; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Nelda Jacobs of Rockwall, and Peggy Bradshaw and husband Nolan of Quinlan; extended family and a host of friends.
