Decatur: Glenda Blagg, 73, a retired teacher, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 6, 2008.
Graveside service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at Oaklawn Cemetery with Gerre Joiner officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Glenda was born July 14, 1934 in Decatur, Texas, to John T. and Ina Mae (Bell) Dunn. She was a first grade teacher at Decatur Elementary for 19 years. After her retirement from Decatur ISD, she worked with her husband, Gene, at the family owned Dunn's True Value Hardware Store that was located on the Decatur Square until the business was sold in 1991.
Glenda was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority at North Texas, was a past member of the Decatur School Board, and was a member of the Wise County Settler's Reunion Committee.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, Gene Blagg of Decatur; daughter, Beverly Blagg Gill and husband, Robert of Grapevine; and a host of friends.
Glenda is preceded in death by her parents.
