Glendor was born June 27, 1924 in Quanah, Texas to Glendor and Orlenda (Gose) McAdams. He married Margaret Russell in 1945 in Decatur, Texas. Glendor served in the United States Air Force during WWII as a fighter pilot and retired in 1950. During his duty, he flew in Italy in 1944-1945 and was member of the 82nd Fighter Group. After his retirement from the air force, he began his employment with Northrop Aircraft as a marketing specialist in South America.
Left behind to cherish his memory are two sons, Jim and wife, Lillian McAdams of Santa Cruz, California; Michael McAdams and wife, Rocio of Westin, Florida; 12 grandchildren, Michael McAdams and wife, Mandy; Darien Ligrade; Daniel McAdams and wife, Eva; Carol McAdams and husband, Gerar; Cailin Apolskis and family; Ian McAdams and wife, Danelle, Christian, Kevin, Lia, Michelle and Sean McAdams; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Taylor; daughter-in-law, Virginia McAdams; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends;
Glendor is preceded in death by parents, wife, son, Douglas Forrest McAdams; and sister, Celeste McAdams.
