Glenn Edwin Baines

Aurora ~ Glenn Edwin Baines, 75, of Aurora went to be with our Lord Saturday, June 23, 2018 in Aurora.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in Pleasant Grove #2.  Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Rev. James Burgess will officiate.  Pallbearers include Dennis Smock, Allen Smith, David Baines, Ray Hudgins, Ricardo Ramirez, and Robert Robbins.

Glenn was born October 10, 1942 to Henry and Elizabeth (Speights) Baines in Seymore.  He was united in marriage to Gloria Block on October 9, 2002 in Aurora.  Glenn was a member of Pleasant Grove #2.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Raymond Baines, and his sisters, Jenny Owens, Ruth Smith, and Mildred Jetter.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Gloria Baines of Aurora; his daughters, Lisa Baines of North Carolina, Melisa Baines of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Wendie Lara of Denton; his sons, Alonzo Baines of Clinton, North Carolina, and Jeremy Dunn of Glenn Allen, Virginia; his 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; his sisters, Anne Weis of Pottsboro, and Donna Walker of Lampasas, his brothers, Bill Baines and wife Jan of Phoenix, Arizona, Bob Baines of Pottsboro, and Earnest Baines of Aurora; numerous, nephews, and a host of friends.
