NEWARK -- Glenn E. Henry, 80, a retired mechanic for Bell Helicopter, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 29, 2011 in Fort Worth.
Graveside service: 1 p.m. Wednesday at New Hope Cemetery in Gainesville/Burns City, Texas. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home. The Reverend Dan Hunt will officiate.
Glenn was born on January 9, 1931 to George and Freda (Morgan) Henry in Washburn, Missouri. He married June Morris on October 6, 1957 in Wichita, Kansas.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Russell Henry; and his sister, Pauline Banks.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, June (Morris) Henry of Newark; his daughter, Kathy Henry Landes of Newark; his sons, Michael Glenn Henry and wife Polly of Garfield, Arkansas, Jody Henry and wife Trice of Lindsay, Terry Henry and fiancee Jana Jarvis of Newark; 8 grandchildren: Tanner, Chris, Regina, Jeff, Preston, Doug, KayLeigh, and Bradley; 7 great grandchildren: Makenna, Jordan, Emily, Destiney, Tre, Makayla, and Blayne; his brothers, Bill Henry and wife Flonnie of Exeter, Missouri, Loren Henry and wife Barbara of Fairview, Missouri, Kenneth Henry and wife June of Billings, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.

Dear June,
We were so sorry to hear about Glen. He and you were good friends, even if we didn't see each other often. I'm glad Porter and I went over there, last year. He seemed to enjoy it,as much as we did.
We were planning to come to the cemetary, but if the weather get as bad as predicted, we won't make it Call or email us after thngs settle down.
