BOONSVILLE -- Gordon Dale Hill, 72, a retired bricklayer went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 in Fort Worth.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Boonsville Cemetery. Rev. Isaac Butterworth will officiate. Pallbearers: Gordon Phillips, Martin Phillips, Jr., Aaron Hill, Michael Hill, Scott Lingo, Matt Lingo, Joseph Milburn, and James Milburn.
Gordon was born on December 26, 1936, the son of Ernest Edwin and Dorothy Pearl (Haught) Hill in Hitson, Texas. He married Amelda Lois Sellers on June 3, 1970 in Weatherford.
Gordon was preceded in death by his son, Chris Phillips, his great grandson, Cody Albright, and his brother, Edwin Hill.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are: wife, Amelda Lois Hill of Boonsville; daughters, Mary Milburn and husband Melvin of Marina, California, Margaret Shackleford and husband Danny of Fort Worth, Leah Lingo and husband Jimmy of Springtown, Sue Palmer and husband Robert of Springtown; sons: Martin Phillips and wife Pat of River Oaks, Gordon Hill, Jr. and wife Sandee of Springtown, Barney Hill of Fort Worth; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Isaac Butterworth of Wichita Falls; sisters, Wanda Oneal of Lufkin, Polly Cox of Crowley, Juanita Bradshaw of Fort Worth; numerous nieces and nephews.
