DECATUR -- Grant Carlisle Morris Jr. went to be with our Lord on Friday, May 1, 2009, in Decatur.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Boyd. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Rev. Roland Hodge will officiate.
Grant was born on June 30, 1953, the son of Grant Carlisle and Monnie Dee (Knott) Morris, in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents. Grant was a painter.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are: Sons, Timothy Grant Morris and wife Karen of Colorado Springs, Grant Carlisle Morris III and wife Jennifer of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Jason Daniel Morris of Decatur; two granddaughters: Freyja May Morris and Kayla Raine Morris; sisters, Barbara Plunk, Carlene Fonseca; brother, David Morris; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
