Greg Gentry

Paradise~ Greg Gentry, 66, of Paradise went to be with our Lord on Monday, September 21, 2020 in Decatur.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday September 24, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Cottondale Cemetery. Family to receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at funeral home.

Rev. Charles Pugh will officiate.

Pallbearers will include Brett Gentry, Brenlee Gentry, Brandon Gentry, David Gentry, Shane Funk, and Gentry Funk.

Greg was born on October 16, 1953 to Ernest Douglas Gentry and Patsy E. Paschall in Bridgeport. Greg was a retired Assembly Specialist with Bell Helicopter. He was a loving, son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and good friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy E. Paschall Gentry of Paradise.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his father, Doug Gentry of Paradise; his brothers, Keith Gentry and Brett Gentry and wife Tammi Jo all of Paradise; his sister, Penny Gentry Funk and husband Chris of Bridgeport; his son, Greg David Gentry of Wichita Falls; 1 granddaughter, Cherrina Miller and husband Jeffrey, his great-grandson, Adrian and another on the way, all of Abilene; numerous extended family and a host of friends.
