Greta Ann Murphree-Massey

Decatur ~ Greta Ann Murphree Massey, 52, an administrative assistant level 3, went to be with our Lord Friday, December 13, 2019 in Decatur.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.

Rev. Mike Wheat will officiate. Pallbearers include, Richard Calvary, Bill Leath, Dalane Bible, Scott Reed, Gary Reynolds, and Frank Hogan. Honorary pallbearers include, Jerry Owens, Bill Cockerell, Alan Black and Lewis Warren.

Greta was born on May 24, 1967 to Cody Pat and Gloria Ann (Harris) Murphree in Fort Worth, Texas. She was an administrative assistant at DFW for 29 years.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Emily Smith of Decatur; her mother, Gloria Murphree of Decatur; her brother, William Murphree and wife Candi of Decatur; her siblings, Leisa Gage and husband Robert of Lake Kiowa, Lynn Riley and husband David of Denton, Jeff Murphree and wife Pam of Decatur, and Patrick Murphree and wife Kurrie of Decatur; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and a host of friends.
