Gretchen was born December 22, 1932 to Otto and Geneva (Carlyle) Newsom in Sulphur, Oklahoma. She married George Delbert Morse on February 3, 1951 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Gretchen was a member of Decatur Garden Club and Wise Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 64 years Delbert Morse of Decatur, Texas; daughter, Gay Morse Witrado and husband Charlie of Fresno, California; 4 sons, Delbert Lee Morse of Decatur, Texas, Ricky Morse and wife Cathy of Riverdale, California, Kevin Morse and wife Leslie of Tulare, California, and Keith Morse and wife Carol of Caruthers, California; sister, Sue Brock of Fresno, California; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
