Boyd: Gwende Dean, 75, a retired school teacher, went to be with our Lord, Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in Boyd.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery.
Dr. Jim Bowden to officiate. Pallbearers: Dennis Black, Billy Marcun, Roy Moore, Norm Sparks, Bob Turk and Jamie Badger.
Gwende was born February 2, 1935 to Porter and Monna (Drennan) Brown in Springtown. She was a member of the Fort Worth Retired School Employees Association, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Order of the Eastern Star, Texas Retired Teachers Association and the First United Methodist Church in Boyd.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mike Dean; and her parents, Porter and Monna Brown.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her granddaughter, Tara Elyse Dean of College Station and Tara
