Decatur: Gwendolyn Faye Hilton, 88, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, February 25th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Johnny Irish officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Gwen was born July 20, 1921 in Petrolia, Texas to Grady Graves and Lela Faye Steph New. She graduated from Decatur High School. Gwen married, Henry Glen Hilton on October 10, 1940 in Decatur and he preceded her in death in July, 2006. She loved working in her garden and loved geneaology research.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Joe Hilton of San Antonio; daughter, Glenda Beth Holliday and husband, Laird of Fairview, Texas; two granddaughters, Amy Hilton of Austin and Allison Hilton of Lewisville.
