Chico: Hanna Myrtle Loper, 85, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Sunday, October 17, 2010 in Decatur.
Memorial service: 11 AM Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial will be private at Cumby Cemetery. The Reverend Larry Potts to officiate.
Hanna was born January 19, 1925 to William and Georgia (Boston) Applin in Smithville, Texas. She married Gene Loper on May 27, 1950 in Decatur. He preceded her in death in 1998; along with 3 brothers, Mack, Bill and Harn Applin; and 2 sisters, Hetty Milligan and Thelma Hollis. Her many interests included quilting, gardening and fishing.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, George Loper and wife Connie of Bangs, Jackie Keen and wife Ruth of Benito, William Keen and wife Barbara of Montague, Gene Keen and wife Linda of Weatherford; daughters, Linda Ames of Bridgeport, Sue Stockard and husband Ricky of Chico, Kathy Tankersley of Ranger and Barbara Beck of Chico; 24 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; multiple great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
