Boyd ~ Dean Vess, 63, of Boyd went to be with our Lord Sunday, January 7, 2018 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home Boyd.
Rev. Mark Autry will officiate.
Dean was born September 9, 1954 to James and Mildred (Hatley) Vess in Bridgeport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James and Jerry Vess; and his sister, Betty Winder.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Michael Vess of Decatur, and Chad Vess and wife Cheryl of Boyd; his daughter, Kimberly Vess of Decatur; his five grandchildren; his sister, Laverne Minton; his brothers, Darryl, Gordon, Royce, and Ronald Vess, and Don and Robert Walker; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
